I think the famous statement "photography captures reality" is overrated.

You can't capture the truth in one single moment. The world is complex and full of contradictions.  Photographers just capture the parts that are related to their lifes, souls and feelings.

 

That's why i think we are liars. We lie ourselves  thinking that what we capture is reality and forget that our role is just to express our true self.
